What is solid gold?Updated 2 years ago

Like with gold-fillthe name “solid gold” as actually a bit of a misnomer—not all solid gold is made up of 100% gold. Since gold is a softer metal, it is often mixed into an alloy with other metals like silver and copper to add strength. “Solid gold” simply means that your piece is made entirely of a gold alloy and has no jeweler’s brass core. How much pure gold is in your piece depends on what karat the gold is, as illustrated below:

We use 14k solid gold because we believe it offers the ideal balance of price, strength and quality. Most of our designs are attached to dainty chains, so it’s not entirely invincible; however, we offer a 3 year warranty on all 14k solid gold pieces. For more info on solid gold, please check out this blog post.
